Denis Cunningham Ltd is a family owned and operated business in Canterbury, established in Sockburn in 1975.

Our current staff of seventeen includes many family members, and together we have over 100 years of experience in welding equipment sales, service and hire. One of our current staff members has been with Denis Cunningham Ltd for over 45 years!

Repairs were originally the main source of business in the ’70s, but as interest in sales of welders and consumables have increased over the years, new product sales are now a major part of the business.

Denis Cunningham Ltd are an authorized distributor of all major brands of welding equipment and consumables, and we take pride in being able to service what we sell. We also import a large range of products ourselves to meet the market requirements.

Today Denis Cunningham Ltd offers a large range of welding, safety, gas equipment, plasma cutting machines, and all consumables, and as such, we are recognised as one of the biggest suppliers in New Zealand. We also offer machine hire, with options that include equipment from DIY size through to heavy industrial machines.

As a company, we have a commitment to trading with honesty and integrity, and to provide our customers with what we believe are the best products, value and service. We strive to suit the best product to the customer’s needs. And if we don’t have that product within our large and varied range – we will be able to source it for you from one of our global partners around the world.

At Denis Cunningham Ltd we can repair most brands of welding equipment, and service the whole of the South Island. We are an authorized repair shop for all the major brands with our service staff factory trained in repairs. We offer onsite repairs as well as repairs at our workshop.  We do accept trade-ins on new machines sold.
